Career decision-making can be defined as the process in which an individual explores career alternatives, compares them, and makes a choice. It is an action of deciding or selecting one career option from various available alternatives. Self-determination refers to an individual's behavior and ability to identify and achieve goals based on their knowledge and self-assessment to act in their life, aiming to maintain or improve the quality of their life. The hypothesis of this study is that there is a positive relationship between self-determination and career decision-making among students of SMK Y. A Spearman’s rho non-parametric correlation statistical analysis of the self-determination scale scores and career decision-making scale scores from 151 respondents shows a coefficient of 0.638 with a significance level of 0.000. This proves that there is a significant positive relationship between self-determination and career decision-making among the students of SMK Y.
