HUBUNGAN DUKUNGAN SOSIAL KELUARGA DENGAN KETERIKATAN KERJA AYAH SEBAGAI ANGGOTA POLRI DI ASRAMA POLRI GEDAWANG

Abstract

This study aims to empirically examine the relationship between family socialsupport and work engagement of fathers who are members of the Indonesian NationalPolice (Polri) at the Polri Gedawang Dormitory. Data collection was carried out usinga family social support scale and a work engagement scale. The sampling techniqueused was incidental sampling, with 88 subjects in the study. Data analysis wasconducted using the Spearman's rho correlation technique, yielding a value of rs =0.534 with p = 0.000 (p < 1%). These results indicate a significant positive relationshipbetween family social support and work engagement. The categorization of the workengagement variable was in the high category, with an empirical mean value of 57.07, ahypothetical mean of 37.5, and a hypothetical standard deviation of 7.5. Thecategorization of the family social support variable was also in the high category, withan empirical mean value of 66.26, a hypothetical mean of 45, and a hypotheticalstandard deviation of 9. The effective contribution of family social support to workengagement was 30.7%. The remaining 69.3% is influenced by other factors, includingjob demands and personal resources.Keywords: Work Engagement, Family Social Support
