PERILAKU AGRESIF PADA TARUNA PENDIDIKAN POLRI: PERAN HARGA DIRI DAN DUKUNGAN SOSIAL TEMAN SEBAYA
Abstract
This study aimed to empirically examine the relationship between self-esteem and peer social support with aggressive behavior among Police Education Cadets. A quantitative approach was employed involving 112 Police Education Cadets as research participants. Data were collected using the Aggressive Behavior Scale, Self-Esteem Scale, and Peer Social Support Scale, and were analyzed using multiple linear correlation. The results showed a significant simultaneous relationship between self-esteem and peer social support with aggressive behavior (Ry.12 = 0.476; F = 15.982; p < 0.01). Partially, self-esteem was negatively associated with aggressive behavior (r = -0.435; p = 0.002), and peer social support was also negatively associated with aggressive behavior (r = -0.270; p = 0.002). These findings indicate that higher self-esteem and stronger peer social support tend to be associated with lower aggressive behavior among Police Education Cadets. Therefore, the proposed hypothesis was accepted. Keywords: Aggressive Behavior, Self-Esteem, Peer Social Support.Downloads
